How Much Do Teachers Spend on School Supplies?
The nation’s K–12 public school teachers shell out, on average, $459 on school supplies, and 9 out of 10 teachers will not be reimbursed for what they spend on supplies over the school year, according to survey data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). The amount varies, with teachers in North Dakota spending an average of $327 and California teachers spending an average of $664. SWWC CSA Grant
Education Minnesota Local 4296 - SWWC CSA is excited to announce that they are bringing back the SWWC CSA Grant. Last year, three educators from SWWC were provided a grant to benefit their students. SWWC CSA has set aside a total of $1,000 to be given to SWWC Local 4296 members in the form of educational grants. The grant money will be encouraged to be used with students and benefit your position with SWWC. For ideas, please see the bottom of this page from past winners.
The money will be divided into five separate grants. Each grant will be worth $200 each.

SWWC CSA Scholarship
Southwest West Central CSA Education Minnesota local - 4296 is excited to be offering a $500 scholarship to one CSA member or their immediate family member (spouse, children, step-children, children for which you are the legal guardian). Scholarship money needs to be used towards an education degree or related service degree such as psychology, occupational, speech, physical therapy, etc. The scholarship can be used towards undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degrees. Priority is provided to SWWC employees prior to family members of the employees.
